Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, India – 2010. Pondicherry (or Puducherry) is a former French colony located in south east India. Its French heritage is very visible in the architecture of some of the older buildings, French street names, monuments, etc. Because of the French influence, it is a popular destination for Europe tourists.
